The residual stresses at a circular punched end face in tempered martensitic high-strength steel sheets were investigated using triaxial stress analysis via X-ray diffraction. maximum principal and its direction calculated from the measured nine components. relationship between directions of hydrogen cracks was verified by generating on same specimen cathodic charging. perpendicular to that stress. This result indicates embrittlement sheared is caused Moreover, distribution toward thickness tensile strength specimens investigated. punch side lower than dice side. Unlike stresses, normal did not increase monotonically with specimens. Therefore, it concluded investigating any area line located midway crucial for considering criteria.
